Catia Segnini lives and works in Grosseto, Tuscany. Since 1995, she is the general manager of the LEADER local action group “Farmaremma” (previously called “Consorzio Qualità Maremma”) and is responsible for the development and implementation of local strategies on rural development.
In 1995, she launched her business as an accountant and external auditor in Grosseto, offering consultancy and technical assistance in business development and promotion and elaboration of innovation strategies. Catia works mostly with public bodies, firms (included non-profit companies) and provide support to projects on research and development.
She has worked on many different local (PISL, Territorial Agreement) and European programmes such as Culture 2000, European sport year, INTERREG, LIFE, URBAN, TACIS and the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI).
Catia has a University degree in Political Science (Pisa University, 1987), with a special focus on the History of International Relations. She has also attended training courses at Pisa University and at Bocconi University in Milan. She speaks Italian, English, French and some Spanish.
