(15 November 2013) - The first European Rural Parliament (ERP) met in Brussels on 13 November. The ERP aims to provide a forum for exchange of ideas and experience between national rural movements and networks. Jean-Pierre Pellegrin, a member of AEIDL and a partner of the Sisteronnais-Buëch Local Action Group (Provence, France), attended the meeting and wrote a short report.

(12 November 2013) - The EU Member States represented on the LIFE Committee and the European Commission's LIFE Nature Unit have announced the Best LIFE Nature Projects 2012. They are presented in a publication coproduced by AEIDL.

(06 November 2013) - The Transport Research and Innovation Portal (TRIP) consortium, which includes AEIDL, has published a new policy brochure entitled “Increasing the sustainability of air transport”.

(06 November 2013) - On 1 July 2013, Croatia became the 28th Member State of the European Union. The accession means Croatia-based environmental and nature conservation projects are now fully eligible for LIFE+ programme co-funding.

(29 October 2013) - The 9th edition of the FARNET Magazine, coproduced by AEIDL within the DevNet EEIG, shows how the Fisheries Local Action Groups (FLAGs) can successfully link fisheries to the tourism economy. The strategy is analyzed in several articles and illustrated by three reports, in Sardinia, Catalonia and Finnish Lapland.
